Day One

Today we made it as far as Salina, Kansas. About 450 miles. We figure that will be about our speed for the rest of the trip. Paul is playing with the new flashlight. He's describing how cool it is because it has a cord you can hang it up with...

We love being back in the Heartland. Did you know Kansas is the Sunflower State? We decided it should be called the Museum State. Here's some of the museums we saw billboards for between Wichita and Salina: Prairie Rose & Hopalong Cassidy Cowboy Museum, Coutts Museum, Kauffman Museum, Mennonite Heritage Museum, Smoky Hill Museum, and a ton more ... Just across from our campground is an "oldtime" museum.

Tomorrow our goal is Cheyenne, Wyoming!!
